Recycled stuff turned into Christmas tree ornaments

The week before Xmas 2010, I taught a group of strokees to make Christmas ornaments
from plastic bottles and the toilet roll cardboard.

My Son's Artistic Creation From Sponge Paper

One day, our 1st twin wanted to make some extra pocket money and asked us how to go about it.

We shared with him about Warren Buffet(The 2nd richest man in the world)and his inspiring words and some of his good principles in life. Among which are:

1)Teaching Kids to invest at young age

2)Encourage kids to start some kind of business (Buffet bought a small farm at age 14 with the savings he got frm delivering newspaper)


After hearing the above, our 1st twin started making some sponge paper penguins from his own ideas. Take a look:

Then he sold them from prices of 50 cents, 60, cents , 80cents and RM1 -depending on the difficulty to make the penguin & amount of effort put in)

Easter Egg-straordinary crafts with stroke survivors

During recent Easter, I spent about 1 hour teaching some STROKE survivors to make figurines from eggshell for EASTER celebration.

Here's the outcome:












Really glad to see these strokees using their Right brain & coming out with great creative ideas to decorate their egg shells with a littl bit of help of course (due to their functional impairment of their weak hands after STROKE).

Artistic Vase

These vases are just made from hard cardboard, decorated with natural ingredients like red beans, maize & green beans as well as 1cent coins.

Nice and pretty?

Had this as a art & craft project for Mother's Day with a group of strokees in a local Stroke Centre last year.
